Data Protection Notice

This Data Protection Notice sets out the basis on which Start Tuition Pte. Ltd. may collect, use, disclose, or otherwise process personal data of our customers in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act.

Personal Data

1. A customer means an individual who has contacted us to find out more about our services, or has entered into a contract with us for the supply of services.
2. Personal data collected from a client can include contact information, information shared for tuition matching, and the tuition address after a tutor is successfully matched.
3. Personal data collected from a tutor can include contact information, academic certifications, proof of identity or eligibility to work, and any other details provided in the course of serving a request.

Collection, Use & Disclosure

1. We generally collect personal data only when it is provided voluntarily, or where collection without consent is permitted by law.
2. We may use personal data to perform obligations connected to tuition services, verify identity, respond to requests, manage the relationship with you, and fulfil other purposes you have agreed to.
3. Where required to perform tuition services, we may disclose a client's contact details to the tutor and a tutor's contact details to the client after a match is confirmed.
4. We do not sell or market your personal data to third parties.

Your Rights

1. You may withdraw consent in writing by contacting our Data Protection Officer.
2. You may request access to or correction of your personal data by writing to us or emailing us.
3. We will respond within a reasonable period and may require time depending on the complexity of the request.

Retention & Protection

1. We take administrative, physical, and technical measures to safeguard personal data from unauthorised access, use, or disclosure.
2. We retain personal data only for as long as needed to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected or as required by law.
