Boy is academically strong and generally understands Science concepts well but his written answers may be unclear, incomplete, or difficult to understand. He also finds it challenging to structure explanations and respond precisely to command words such as explain, justify, compare, evaluate and discuss.
Specifically looking for a tutor who:
• has experience teaching IB MYP / international-school Science students
• understands MYP Science assessment and criterion-based responses
• can teach structured scientific writing and open-response techniques
• can work on Claim–Evidence–Reasoning (CER), logical explanations, scientific vocabulary and data-response questions
• is able to use his own school assignments/assessments and teacher feedback to identify weaknesses and improve his written answers.
