1 stick of cinnamon
1 thumb-sized ginger (smashed)
4-6 red dates (pre-soaked in room temperature water)
1) put the cinnamon stick, red dates, and ginger into a pot of water, bring to a boil using medium high heat, then reduce to low heat.
2) simmer for 30 minutes.
3) turn off the heat and strain the tea
4) serve with honey/lemon or lime juice for added flavour.
Cinnamon stabilises blood sugar, preserves brain function and supports heart health. Ginger is good for indigestion and lower the risk of infections. Red dates is traditionally good for replenishing iron in blood and rejuvenation. However, like every other type of food, do drink in moderation!
