Looking for experienced Primary School tuition teachers?

Primary school sets the foundation for all future learning - but not every child moves at the same pace. Some need more time to grasp concepts, while others lose confidence after repeated mistakes. If your child

  • struggles to keep up in class or forgets what they just learned,
  • has weak foundations in reading, writing, or problem-solving,
  • lacks confidence or gives up easily when they don’t know an answer, or
  • needs consistent feedback and practice to improve,

1-to-1 tuition gives them the attention, encouragement, and guidance to build skills steadily — and grow in confidence.

Start Tuition sources from more than 15,000 teachers, ex-teachers, full-time tutors, undergraduate tutors to find someone who suits your requirements and budget. No obligations.

How are the lessons conducted for Primary school children?

Primary school tuition teachers usually conduct the tuition, 1-to-1 at your home. Online classes are increasingly popular as well (via Zoom or other platforms).

The tuition schedule is based on your child's timetable - weekends are ok too. These home tutors can be current MOE school teachers, graduate private tutors, or current university students with part-time tutoring experience. You can choose the tutor based on your preferences and budget.

Does the tutor follow the school syllabus?

Yes - tutors teach based on the school syllabus, adapted to their current topics, and the student's learning style. It’s reinforcement and revision for them.

What if my child is doing okay, but not scoring top marks?

Tuition isn’t just for struggling students. It can also help average performers become stronger, by improving clarity, technique, and confidence.

Can the private tutor teach more than 1 subject?

Yes. Some specialise in 1 or 2 subjects (English, Maths, Science, Chinese/Mother Tongue); some are able to teach all 4 subjects. If you need the same tutor to teach more than 1 subject, you can opt for either 1 lesson per week, where the tutor splits the time up to rotate between subjects. Or you can get the tutor to go over for 2 lessons every week. This can be arranged, and you let us know your preference, or consider our suggestions.
