Many parents consider Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) to also be the single most important examination. Hence, it's common to start preparations early, like after Pri 5 SA2, to ensure that there is enough time for the child to consolidate their understanding and improve on areas of weakness.
We recommend tutors who are experienced or specialised in PSLE to ensure the fastest improvement possible, This includes current school teachers who are very up-to-date with PSLE syllabus. Some are also PSLE markers, and hence very familiar with the marking schemes and answering requirements required by MOE.
Other options include Full-Time tutors, usually with more than 3 years tutoring experience for PSLE, or University/Polytechnic students with good academic results.
Start Tuition sources from more than 15000 teachers, ex-teachers, full-time tutors, undergraduate tutors to find someone who suits your requirements and budget. No obligations.

The change in the scoring system for PSLE will be effected in PSLE 2021. This means, students entering Pri 1 in 2016 onwards will be under this new system.
In short, instead of giving each student a T-score, students will receive a band from AL1 to AL8, similar to GCE N, O, A Levels' F9 to A1:
AL1: 90 and above
AL2: 85-89
AL3: 80-84
AL4: 75-79
AL5: 65-74
AL6: 45-64
AL7: 20-44
AL8: Below 20
This means, if a student scored 90 and above for all 4 subjects, the PSLE score given will be 4, (1 for each subject). A student who scored 65 for all 4 subjects will receive a score of 20 (5 per subject).
Yes, it does. In the old system, students with a higher PSLE score is favoured most, followed by citizenship. If there is a tie (same score, same citizenship), computerised balloting will be used to determine who gets the place.
Under the new system, students with a higher PSLE score is still prioritised, followed by citizenship. A new third factor is introduced: the choice order, i.e the rank of the school in the student's choices. The student who indicated the school in a higher choice will get priority. Computerised balloting will remain as the final tie-breaker.
